CPL 9 Mampu menerapkan metode ilmiah dalam penelitian bidang bahasa dan pendidikan Bahasa Inggris untuk menghasilkan kajian akademik dasar yang valid, logis, dan sistematis.
Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)
CPMK 8 Mahasiswa mampu merancang solusi inovatif berbasis ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (seperti pengembangan materi ajar digital, aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif, atau strategi pengajaran berbasis proyek) dalam bidang Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, dengan menerapkan pemikiran kritis, sistematis, dan komprehensif yang mengintegrasikan nilai humaniora (etika penggunaan teknologi, penghormatan terhadap keragaman peserta didik, dan dampak sosial), serta menunjukkan kepekaan kontekstual terhadap kebutuhan pembelajar di era global.
CPMK 16 Mahasiswa mampu merancang proposal riset pendidikan bahasa Inggris yang sesuai kaidah akademik tingkat sarjana, dengan mengidentifikasi permasalahan relevan (misalnya kesulitan pengajaran speaking di kelas multilingual), menerapkan metode penelitian yang tepat (seperti mixed-methods atau action research), serta mematuhi kaidah ilmiah (termasuk sitasi, etika penelitian, dan validitas data), sehingga menghasilkan desain riset yang inovatif dan berpotensi mengatasi isu pendidikan secara efektif..
CPMK 25 Mahasiswa mampu merumuskan masalah penelitian, tujuan, dan hipotesis (atau pertanyaan penelitian) secara ilmiah di bidang keilmuan bahasa Inggris (misalnya analisis kesalahan berbahasa, pengaruh bilingualisme terhadap penguasaan grammar, atau efektivitas strategi pengajaran reading), serta merancang desain penelitian yang tepat sesuai metode ilmiah (kualitatif, kuantitatif, atau campuran), termasuk pemilihan populasi, sampel, dan instrumen pengumpulan data yang valid dan reliabel.

Deskripsi Singkat MK This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of research in English Language Teaching (ELT). It provides comprehensive knowledge of research paradigms, research ethics, problem identification, literature review, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, research questions, research designs, sampling techniques, data collection methods, instrument development, validity and reliability, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Students also learn how to interpret research findings, write research reports following academic conventions, and critically evaluate published ELT studies. Through practical activities, students develop the ability to design a feasible and ethical research proposal addressing current issues in English language teaching and learning while demonstrating academic integrity and evidence-based decision-making.
